The Dylan Hotel at SFO – Terms & Conditions

Rate Information

  • All rates are subject to availability and change without notice. Certain rates and promotions may not be available for all dates.
  • Room rates do not include applicable taxes, tourism fees, or optional incidentals (including but not limited to parking beyond nights of stay, luggage storage, gratuities, or other services).
  • Changes to reservation dates or length of stay may result in a rate adjustment.

Children

  • Children 15 years and under stay free when sharing a room with at least one adult.

Occupancy Limits

  • Maximum occupancy must be observed at all times:
  • Two Double or Two Queen Beds: 2 adults and 2 children
  • One Queen or One King Bed: 2 guests maximum
  • Occupancy limits may impact room rates and/or number of rooms required, even if a confirmation number has been issued.

Extra Adult Charge

  • An additional $20 per person per night applies for the third and fourth guest, where occupancy permits.

Rollaway Bed

  • A rollaway bed is available for $20 per night and are subject to limited availability.
  • We recommend reserving in advance.

Room Assignments & Upgrades

  • Specific room numbers, floor levels, and bed configurations cannot be guaranteed but will be accommodated whenever possible.
  • Upgrades may be available at check-in for an additional fee.

Guarantee Policy

  • A valid major credit card is required at time of booking.
  • Prepaid credit cards, debit cards, or cards linked to checking accounts are not accepted for reservation guarantees.

Check-In & Check-Out

  • Check-In: 2:00 PM
  • Check-Out: 12:00 Noon
  • Early check-in between 9:30 AM – 1:55 PM may be available for $25 + tax and is not guaranteed.
  • If no major credit card is presented at check-in, full payment in cash plus a $150 cash security deposit will be required. The deposit, less any additional charges, will be refunded at check-out pending room inspection.

Cancellation Policies

  • Policies may vary by rate type and arrival date. Please refer to your confirmation.
  • Standard Reservations:
    Cancel at least 24 hours prior to arrival to avoid a charge of one night’s room and tax.
  • Park, Stay & Fly Reservations:
    Cancel at least 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid a charge of one night’s room and tax.
  • Advance Purchase / Non-Refundable Reservations:
    Non-cancellable and non-changeable. No refunds for cancellation, modification, early departure, or no-show.

Early Departure

  • Early departures after check-in without 24-hour notice will be charged one additional night’s room and tax.

Stay Extensions

  • Extensions are subject to availability and prevailing rates. Room type and rate may change.

Parking

  • Limited on-site parking is available for one vehicle per room and is included for nights of stay only.
  • Parking is first-come, first-served and not guaranteed.
  • $11 per additional vehicle parked on-site
  • Free street parking is available
  • Extended parking is available only with a reserved Park, Stay & Fly package
  • A valid parking permit must be displayed on your dashboard

Luggage & Package Storage

  • $5 per bag or package per day.
  • Guests must notify The Dylan in advance of packages being shipped to the hotel.
  • Unannounced deliveries will incur storage charges.

Pets – Dogs Only

  • Maximum: 2 dogs
  • Weight limit: 35 lbs each
  • $25 per night pet fee
  • $150 refundable deposit, if no damage to the room
  • Please notify the hotel in advance to ensure placement in a pet-friendly room.

Smoking Policy

  • The Dylan is a non-smoking property. No tobacco, marijuana, or vaping.
  • Smoking in guestrooms will result in a $150 cleaning fee.

Airport Transportation

SamTrans public shuttle service from San Francisco International Airport (SFO):

  • $2.25 per adult each way
  • $1.10 per child or senior each way
    (Subject to change by SamTrans.)

Groups

  • Reservations of five (5) or more rooms or five (5) or more total room nights are subject to group policies.

Extended Stays

  • Due to the hotel’s size (58 rooms), reservations of five (5) or more consecutive nights may be subject to special policies.
  • Please contact the hotel directly.

Damages & Conduct

  • Guests are responsible for any damage, excessive cleaning, or noise disturbances resulting in compensation claims or service disruptions.
  • Charges will be applied accordingly.

Advance Purchase / Non-Refundable Rate Terms

  • Full payment required at time of booking
  • Must be booked online at least seven (10) days prior to arrival
  • Credit card charged immediately for entire stay
  • Discounts typically range from 5%–20% off regular rate
  • No cancellations, changes, refunds, credits, or transfers
  • Not commissionable
  • Not combinable with other offers
  • Not valid for groups
  • Extensions require a new reservation at prevailing rates
  • The Dylan reserves the right to cancel reservations associated with fraud or illegal activity.

Guest Rooms

Accessible rooms are available with either a tub or roll-in shower. Please indicate preference at booking or call 1.650.697.7373.

Accessible features include:

  • 32-inch minimum clear door width
  • Lever door handles
  • Lowered electrical outlets and night guards
  • Closed-caption TVs
  • Grab bars at toilet and shower/tub
  • Roll-in shower or tub with adjustable shower wand
  • Wheelchair-height toilet
  • ADA-compliant sink with lever faucet
  • Hearing-impaired devices upon request

Public Areas

  • Accessible parking with proper signage
  • Accessible route from public entrance
  • ADA push plates or automated entrance
  • Braille on elevator buttons and room numbers
  • Staff assistance for visually impaired guests
  • Service animals welcome

SMS and Text Messaging Policy

  • We use a guest messaging platform to communicate with you regarding your stay. By providing your phone number during the booking process, you consent to receive text messages from the property.

Purpose:
Text messaging may be used to send check-in instructions, access information, room readiness updates, and to respond to your requests during your stay.

Opt-Out:
You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying
STOP to any message you receive. You will receive a final confirmation message, after which no further SMS messages will be sent.

Help:
If you experience issues or need assistance, you may reply
HELP or contact the front desk directly.

Privacy of Mobile Data:
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
